The Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation visited the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry

On November 13, the President of the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Yuri Bernadsky and the Vice-President of the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tatyana Bernadskaya held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation Botirjon Asadov.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan Botirjon Asadov, the Counselor of Economic Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shokhruh Gulamov, the Consul of the General Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk Abdurakhman Mukhamedov visited the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the forum “Travel to the Republic of Uzbekistan”, which was held in Novosibirsk.

Yuri Bernadsky greeted the delegation and noticed that the external turnover between Russia and Uzbekistan has increased twice. There was an increase in exports and imports. Uzbekistan takes the third place among the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the mutual trade volume in Novosibirsk market. Tatyana Bernadskaya underlined that the one of the strategic direction of the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry activity is to develop an international cooperation. Every year the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry organizes different business missions of Novosibirsk entrepreneurs to other Russian regions and foreign countries.

Mr. Botirjon Asadov expressed his gratitude and affirmed that Russian northern regions show interest in collaboration with Uzbekistan. The research has shown that Uzbekistan is one of the top ten countries, which attracts Russian companies. The Russian Federation is the largest foreign trade partner of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The turnover between countries reached about 5 billon dollars. Trade relations between two countries have a great potential in cooperation in Future. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry is an important structure, which supports the small and medium business. Therefore it is necessary to establish mutually beneficial business cooperation between the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting the leaders of the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry and representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan agreed to strengthen cooperation and organize joint events.
