Novosibirsk companies discussed cooperation with the Republic of India

On June 24, within the framework of cooperation between the Investment Promotion Agency of the Novosibirsk Region and the trade missions of Russia in foreign countries with the information support of  the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry was held a webinar “Hour with the Trade Representative” dedicated to the development of trade and economic cooperation between the Novosibirsk Region and the Federal Republic of Germany.

The event was attended by the Russian Trade Representative in the Federal Republic of Germany Andrey Sobolev, General Director of the Investment Promotion Agency of the Novosibirsk Region Alexander Zyryanov, Deputy Director of the Investment Promotion Agency of the Novosibirsk Region Vasiliy Plotnikov and the President of the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Yuri Bernadsky.

From the Russian side the following companies joined the webinar: Tamkon LLC, Optiplane LLC, Biokvant LLC, Biosan LLC and others.

Andrey Sobolev welcomed the participants of the webinar and told about structure and needs of the German market, the most important products in the structure of German imports (equipment and mechanical devices, electrical machinery and equipment, mineral fuel, oil and products of their distillation, pharmaceutical products — dietary supplements). IT-solutions of Russian companies, energy storage systems, modernization of railway lines, and primary raw materials are also in demand in the market of Germany. He noted that the trade turnover between Russia and Germany in the first quarter of 2021 was 16.1 billion dollars. The growth was 10,4 % compared with the first quarter of the year 2020.

Andrey Sobolev also spoke about the conditions for successful product promotion to the German market: the presence of the necessary certificates of the EU for products; presence of a representative office or a subsidiary company in Germany; compliance with the principles of responsible and ecological production, recycling; participation in major international exhibitions in Germany; a marketing analysis of the German market in the initial stages of planning to enter this market. Andrey Sobolev emphasized the importance of participation of Russian exporters in the exhibitions, held in Germany and he expressed hope for the possibility of holding exhibitions in the usual regime by the end of the third quarter of 2021.

During the videoconference, participants were introduced to the Russian Export Center JSC online showcase on the Amazon portal for Russian exporters, the main online trading platforms in Germany, information on customs regulations, and the main German tender platforms.

At the end of the video conference entrepreneurs of Novosibirsk region received answers of the trade representative of the Russian Federation in the Federal Republic of Germany on topical issues of economic activities, including taking into account the epidemiological situation in the world in connection with Covid-19.
