On January 18, a modern production line for the complex processing of acid storage batteries was launched at the production site of Sibselmash factory.

The Deputy Chairman of the Novosibirsk Region Government Sergey Syomka, President of the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Yuri Bernadsky, director of “RETEKO” Co. Alexander Suvorov, the head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Novosibirsk Region Yury Marchenko, Chairman of the NCCCI Committee for Environmental Protection, Director of LLC «Clean City» Vyacheslav Zykov and others participated in the opening ceremony of the investment project of “RETEKO”.

Sergey Syomka marked that this investment project is a promising one and the assistance in the development of such productions is an important task in the work of the regional government. In his opinion, the materials received after the processing can be used as a commodity or raw material for the creation of new products. Besides, battery recycling is an important process in terms of protection of the environment.

«The opening of a new unique production is an important impetus for the economic development of the region,» Yuri Bernadsky said. «RETEKO» Co. was able to find the necessary resources, partners and on the basis of the latest technologies successfully implemented the first phase of the investment project, which has a great development potential. This waste-free production is a unique one beyond the Urals, it has an undoubted commercial effect and allows to significantly improve the ecological situation in the region. This is a great success for the company’s staff. «

Alexander Suvorov noted that the first stage of the project is the commissioning of the line for the disposal of hazardous wastes which has high production capacity — 15 thousand tons per year. After that it is planned to manufacture branded metal alloys and construction materials from recycling products.

The equipment for processing of storage batteries helps to solve efficiently the problem of recycling of old devices for energy storage.
