Novosibirsk entrepreneurs are interested in attracting foreign qualified labor force
On October 9, NCCCI hosted a meeting of Novosibirsk entrepreneurs with a delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Ayubkhon Kamalov, First Deputy of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as part of a series of visits to the regions of the Siberian Federal District.
The event was attended by Asilbek Murtazaev, Head of Sector of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Anvar Kobilov, Deputy Hakim of Kashkadarya region, Bekzod Murodov, Deputy Director of the Free Economic Zone of Fergana region, Khairulla Sattorov, Director of the «Youth — Our Future» Foundation, Sardor Dzhuraev, Head of Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Oybek Odilov, Head of the Representative Office of the Agency for External Labor Migration of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation, and President of the Novosibirsk State Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and representatives of more than 20 Novosibirsk production enterprises in various fields of activity.
Yuri Bernadsky, welcoming the participants of the meeting, noted that there are about 70 joint Russian-Uzbek enterprises in the Novosibirsk region, which already employ hundreds of Uzbek citizens. Within the framework of this meeting, Novosibirsk enterprises have an opportunity to tell about their needs for specialists in various industries and specialties. President of the Novosibirsk State Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed hope for fruitful work and further successful cooperation with Uzbekistan. In addition, Yuri Bernadsky said that Novosibirsk enterprises should make an application to the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the region describing their needs in human resources for 2024, indicating the number of personnel and the number of employees in the region.
Ayubkhon Kamalov in his welcoming speech introduced the delegation and noted that migrant workers should have appropriate qualifications, and Uzbekistan is ready to train workers to meet the requirements of Novosibirsk enterprises.
Khairulla Sattorov thanked for the warm welcome and noted that Uzbekistan has established a fund «Youth is Our Future», which provides assistance and support to Uzbek entrepreneurs in the realization of business initiatives, start-ups, ideas and projects, as well as in employment.
During the meeting, representatives of Novosibirsk enterprises had an opportunity to introduce themselves and talk about the need to attract foreign labor.
As a conclusion of the meeting, a decision was made to create an appropriate section on the Chamber’s website in order to inform the employment centers of Uzbekistan about the qualification levels of the required employees. With this in mind, Novosibirsk enterprises will send information about their needs in human resources to the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
