Representatives of authorities and business community of the Novosibirsk region discussed bilateral cooperation with the with the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China
On May 17th, a meeting with the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Ekaterinburg Cui Shaochun was held at the Representative Office of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Novosibirsk.
The meeting was attended by a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Novosibirsk Nikolai Afonasov, President of the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Yuri Bernadsky, Vice-President of the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tatyana Bernadskaya, head of the International Cooperation and Foreign Economic Relations of Interregional Association «Siberian Agreement», head of the Tourism Committee of the Chamber, Arkady Kurmakaev, staff Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China.
The representatives of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Association «Siberian Agreement» discussed with the Chinese delegation the possibilities of development of bilateral economic relations and business cooperation.
Nikolai Afonasov presented a structure of the institute’s international cooperation of the Siberian Federal District and Novosibirsk region.
Yuri Bernadsky noted the opportunity of the Novosibirsk region in such projects in innovative development, new technologies and goods creation, which could be the purpose of Russian-Chinese cooperation.
Mr. Cui Shaochun told that development of economic cooperation is one of the key tasks of the Consulate General, and proposed to strengthen information exchange with NCCCI to find business partners in China. He invited Novosibirsk companies to participate in international exhibitions in Shenyang and Guangzhou in August 2023.
In concluding, Nikolai Afonasov proposed to prepare the information on the development projects of technological potential and startups of Novosibirsk business for the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China, in collaboration with the Technology Park of Novosibirsk Akademgorodok.
