Slovenian companies continue to develop the Siberian market

On November, 24, the delegation of Slovenian business circles headed by the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to Russia Mr. Primoz Seligo visited the Novosibirsk City CCI.

The meeting was held by the president of the NCCCI Yuri Bernadsky and the vice-president Tatyana Bernadskaya.

The main purpose of the visit of the delegation is to know the regional economy and possibilities for business cooperation.

Yuri Bernadsky introduced the economic and investment potential of Novosibirsk region. Novosibirsk companies cooperate with partners from over 120 countries of the world. There are more than 1600 joint companies created with partners from 75 foreign states. The regional enterprises are export-oriented that’s why comfortable conditions for export are being created, support infrastructure is being formed. Many local enterprises are technical re-equipped and function on the highest technical level.

Mr. Primoz Seligo marked long-term business links between Novosibirsk region and Slovenia. The Slovenian companies participated in construction of several large objects on the regional territory. But there are lots of possibilities for the development of cooperation. The Slovenian companies are also interested in creation of joint ventures.

Mr. Seligo expressed his hope for soon opening of the Honorary Consulate of Slovenia to Novosibirsk which will contribute to trade and economic relations between both countries.

Within the framework of the visit the representatives of the Embassy of Slovenia and the NCCCI agreed to cooperate in organization of business meetings, visits to local enterprises and other events.
