The prospects of business cooperation of Taiwan and the Novosibirsk region were discussed at the NCCCI

On September 4, the head of the Moscow representative office of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) Mr. Vincent Shaw visited the NCCCI and met with the President of the Chamber Yuri Bernadsky and the Vice-President Tatyana Bernadskaya.

Mr. Vincent Shaw arrived to Novosibirsk to know more about its economic potential and the working conditions of foreign representatives in the region, and to discuss the ways of further cooperation between the NCCCI and TAITRA.

Yuri Bernadsky told about specific features of the region’s development and especially marked diversification of the regional economy based on innovations. In the city there are large enterprises working in the spheres of electro-technical and heavy equipment industry, production of ore mining and processing equipment, medical and chemical industries. There are several technoparks in the spheres of IT, biotechnologies, medicine and instrument-making. Novosibirsk is a huge logistic and commerce centre. Regional companies cooperate with foreign partners from 130 countries, among them China, Germany, Belarus, the USA, India, Vietnam, Korea.

Tatyana Bernadskaya noticed that the Novosibirsk City CCI has a major experience in organization of business negotiations between entrepreneurs of different countries on the territory of Russia and foreign states. The Asia-Pacific region is one of key partners of Novosibirsk enterprises.

As a result of the meeting, Mr. Vincent Shaw suggested arranging the visit of Novosibirsk entrepreneurs to foreign exhibitions taking place in Taiwan and Yuri Bernadsky, in his turn, suggested organizing a business mission of Taiwan companies to Novosibirsk.
